Mom’s Banana Bread

Mom’s Banana Bread

Hey Moms! 🍌✨

What’s the ONE superpower every mom accidentally masters?
Her banana bread!

Why are we obsessed?

It’s stupid-easy (dump, stir, bake—done!).

Tastes like a hug from the inside.

Turns “ew, black bananas” into “YES, MOM’S BAKING!”

Spotting those brown bananas on the counter, That’s the bat-signal for your kitchen.
Your house is about to smell like weekend heaven, and your husband will fight the kids  over the crispy edges. Go be the banana-bread queen you were born to be! 👑

Yield: 1 loaf pan
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Bake Time: 50–55 minutes

Ingredients:

-2 cups all-purpose flour
-½ cup granulated sugar
-4 ripe bananas, mashed
-½ cup coconut oil, melted
-½ teaspoon salt
-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-¾ teaspoon baking soda
-¼ cup milk (any kind)
-2 tablespoons chocolate chips (on top)

Step by step:

•Warm up: Pre heat to 350°F (175°C). Line your favorite loaf pan with parchment paper—let the ends hang over the sides like little handles for easy lifting later.

•Dry mix: In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda. Set it aside.

Mix mix

•Mash-party time! Peel those spotty bananas and let your toddler squish them in a big bowl(perfect job for a toddler). Stir in the sugar until incorporated.

🍌Mom tip: If you’re short on bananas, swap in ½ cup unsweetened applesauce—no one will know!

•Melt & mingle: Pop the coconut oil in a microwave-safe cup for 20–30 seconds until liquid. Add the milk and warm for another 10–20 seconds so everything stays cozy and doesn’t harden. Pour this over the banana mixture and stir.

•Bring the bowls together: Sprinkle the dry ingredients over the wet and fold with a spatula—just until no flour streaks remain. Over-mixing makes sad, tough bread!

•Chocolate incoming: Scrape the batter into your lined pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top for those irresistible melty pools. Push down the chocolate chips gently into the batter with a fork.

(See our fave chips in the Mom Tips below!)

Just surface pushing, the fork should stay clean.

•Bake the love: Slide into the oven for 50–55 minutes. At the 52-minute mark (with my magic pan), a toothpick should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Every oven is different—start checking at 50!

•The hardest part: Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out using the parchment wings. Slice a warm piece immediately—because by tomorrow morning, this loaf will mysteriously disappear..

Chocolatey, warm, goodness.

Mom tips!

🍌 Claim YOUR pan throne
Find that one loaf pan that makes your bread sing—then crown it “Banana Bread Only.”  You’ll know the exact moment your bread is ready.

Thick, heavy, bold.

🍌 Banana shortage? Applesauce to the rescue!
Running one banana short? Toss in ½ cup unsweetened applesauce (you’ve got 47 pouches in the pantry, right?). Same moisture, zero fuss, sneaky fruit points earned.

Pouch or cup forms work!

🍌 Chocolate lovers, listen up!
We all want to stir in the whole bag—BUT hear me out. Sprinkle the chips on TOP. You get melty chocolate still with a good rise.

Any will do, but these are the best!
